My name is Amy. I'm not really unlike many of you. I'm a wife and a mother who loves to express myself in any creative way I see fit.
I'm also a DAUGHTER. Which is the reason I started this blog. I recently lost my dad to a terminal liver disease. It has changed my life completely. My outlook and perspective have been altered forever. I'm working now on using that change for good. Hoping to make myself a better person from my trials. That doesn't mean it's not hard, and it doesn't mean I will always be perfect. It has opened my eyes to see the world differently and I feel it would be a waste if I didn't do my best with that.
Everyday I hope to make my dad proud.
I lean heavily on my mom's amazing example of courage. No one in the world feels the loss of a loved one more than their spouse. My mom is my rock. Her determination for eternal happiness is unwavering and inspiring.
I'm hoping now to be the kind of parent that I was lucky enough to be raised with. I feel like I really won the "parent" lottery. I'm hoping that one day my kids will feel the same.
I'm encouraged and supported by the most amazing man I've ever known, my husband. He is the one who has to tolerate the roller coaster called 'crazy' that my emotions have been on, and he does more than tolerate me. He accepts me, loves me, and lifts me.
It's a blessed life we are living. Not perfect, but certainly blessed!
I hope you'll enjoy reading along with me as I find my way through this journey.
